Couples seeking a spooky getaway
The stay was pretty amazing. We loved being able to walk back to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing and even snagged some complimentary sherry to unwind.
It wasn't exactly cheap but the experience was still solid.

Perfect for a cozy getaway
Location is on point, super close to everything. Staff was friendly but had a weird moment with parking where I got a ticket because of a mix-up. The place was clean and comfy overall. Loved the little touches like cheese and wine in the afternoon. Just wish the parking info was clearer so I wouldn't have stressed over that!

The historic charm of the Salem Inn was delightful, and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and friendly staff. However, the mattress was on the firmer side, making it hard to get comfortable, and I encountered slow service during breakfast. Overall, a memorable experience with room for improvement.

I loved the spacious classic suite and the delicious breakfast, which included freshly baked pastries. The cozy garden area was perfect for relaxing after a long day, and I enjoyed the comfy lounge when I wanted to unwind. I had a bit of a hassle with check-in being at another building, but it wasn’t a big deal at all! 😊

missingWrote a review on Aug 17unique decortasty breakfastgreat serviceloud refrigeratorstair access
I really loved the charming decor of the Curwen House. The historical elements added a unique touch to my stay. A large, comfortable room awaited me, with a cozy bed and a nice bathroom. Everything felt clean and well cared for. Breakfast had plenty of tasty options. The staff were super friendly and genuinely helpful. It was easy for me to walk to all the main attractions from here. However, the fridge in my room made quite a loud noise. It woke me up during the night the first evening, which was a bit frustrating. Also, the walk from the breakfast area back to my room felt longer in the rain. There’s no elevator access, so if stairs are an issue, that could be a challenge.

great location but overpriced for what you get
The breakfast provided a nice start to the day. The servers were attentive and made the experience memorable. The historic charm of the accommodations added to the appeal.
Charging premium rates for standard amenities feels unfair.

The complimentary breakfast with made-to-order omelets was delightful!
The walls are very thin, and we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms.
